ARG M: Yas Nizetich is back to Argentina national team

The Argentinean Women’s Volleyball star Yamila “Yas” Nizetich returned to the national team after a one-year break.


Argentina national team gathered at the CeNARD training center in Buenos Aires to start the international season. The head coach Hernán Ferraro summoned 14 players for the first competition in 2019 – the FIVB Challenger Cup in Peru from June 26 to June 30. The winners of the tournament will take part in the 2020 FIVB Nations League.

Good news for Argentinean fans – the national team’s major star Yamila “Yas” Nizetich is back after a one-year break. As many of you recall, she was kicked out of the national team before the 2018 FIVB World Championship by former head coach Guillermo Orduna.

The 14-player list of Argentina national team:

Setters: Valentina Galiano, Tatiana Vera

Opposite hitters: Lucía Fresco, Erika Mercado

Middle blockers: Candelaria Herrera, Victoria Michel Tosi, Julieta Lazcano

Outside hitters: Camila Hiruela, Yamila Nizetich, Elina Rodríguez, Daniela Bulaich, Antonela Fortuna

Liberos: Tatiana Rizzo, Valentina González
