The Stings took revenge on Suntory for a defeat yesterday and prevailed over big rivals in Round 10 of the 2020/21 V.League Division1 regular season for men. Again, these two sides played a five-setter in which Yuji Nishida shone with 40 points, including 4 blocks, and helped his team turn the match around after 0-2. Taichi Fukuyama made 5 blocks. As for the losing side, whose six-game winning streak came to an end and who lost the leadership, Russian Dmitriy Muserskiy scored 34 points.

With the seventh victory in a row, which was earned through hard work against FC Tokyo (3-2), the Wolfdogs Nagoya settled at the top of the charts. The Pole Bartosz Kurek top-scored the winners with 35 points. Tetsu Yamachika made a 91.7 % attack (11/12), Kenta Takanishi set up 5 blocks, while Tomohiro Ogawa had 76.6 % reception.

Not only they lost the leadership, but Suntory were squeezed out to third place given that the Panasonic Panthers achieved the win in this round as well. Kunihiro Shimizu (19 points) and Takeshi Nagano (72.9 % reception) helped the Hirakata team down Sakai Blazers in a tie-breaker.

The Toray Arrows (Hungarian Krisztián Pádár 17 points, Kentaro Takahashi 5 blocks, Shoma Tomita 79.2 % reception) are still on fire as they recorded the fifth successive victory.
